Tackling CIP

In recent days I have been often asked by some of you on how best to prepare for the Constitution of India and Professional ethics (CIP) examination. Here are some tips.
  • Study one of the text books - Chakrasali/Phaneesh. While studying text book do not read it like a novel- instead for each sentence you read in the book - form possible questions and know answers.
  • Example: " Government of India Act, 1935" -
  • Possible question based on this are ? 1. Name of act passed in 1935? . 2. When was Government of India Act Passed ?
  • " Cabinet Mission 1946"
  • "Indian Independence Act 1947"
  • Study all Chapter end questions thorougly
  • Collect few old question papers (4-6)- either from library or E.C students ( they had CIP in VII semester or current I/II semester
  • Make a focussed prepartion towards exam pattern: Know answers to as many as possible and do not try to Master Constitution.

Good Luck

How much ever you read and practice... the questions are real confusing. You will be compelled to think more than one answer is right.

According to me, you should firstly read the book once, as attentively as possible. Then onwards just keep on solving the sample questions with at least 3 of your other friends. One will read the question and the rest should try to answer the question as soon as possible.

I don't particularly remember the book name, but some author's book has a lot of questions at the back(every chapter has about 130-150 questions covering every single line of the text).

Good luck. :)

PS:Please don't take this subject ligtly, most of us passed in the 35% margin.
